Welcome to our class! There are 21 children in our class.
Our P.E day is Tuesday afternoon. Can you please ensure that children have full P.E kit on these days. We prefer to leave P.E kit in school , sending it home each half term to get washed.
We read with each child once a week, and children are given the opportunity to choose their own reading book. If your child is a confident reader and they enjoy reading more than one book in a week then they are welcome to return their reading book and choose another one. Please sign their reading record so we know when your child has read at home. We hope that children read at home at least five times a week.
This Term
This term our topic is Celebrations, and we will be looking at different celebrations from around the world.
We started Read Write Inc and we are learning how to read and write a new sound every day.
In Maths, we are working hard on accurate counting and writing numerals correctly. We enjoy using Ipads to enhance our learning.
In our fantastic outdoor area we love to play and learn, especially in the kitchen, sandpit and investigation areas which we use to investigate the natural world and find bugs. As a reward for 100% attendance, we used our fire pit to toast marshmallows.
We like to be creative and have been using our hand prints to make fish pictures for our ‘Mr Seahorse’ display.
