Here at Ropery Walk, we love to represent our school in competitions. Read on to find out what is happening this year so far.
Netball
A team of Year 5/6 girls travelled to Dene Community School to take part in a netball competition on Friday 3rd November. The girls performed really well, and though lost a few games (including to the eventual 2 qualifying teams), also managed a draw and a win in their other matches. Not bad considering they only practiced twice! Hopefully the girls can attend another festival later in the year, so we’ll see how they get in then!
Sportshall Athletics
Mr Brown’s Year 5 children travelled to East Durham College to take part in an indoor athletics competition on Thursday 23rd November. Everyone in the class took part in at least one of the events (either a track, throwing or jumping even), and although they didn’t win any prizes, everyone had a great time!
