At Ropery Walk Primary we consult with a wide range of agencies and partnerships to ensure the pastoral, medical and social needs of SEND children are met.
Any child with a medical condition is fully supported in school. We have trained first aiders and paediatric first aiders who look after our children. Health Care Plans are written with the parents and, if required, prescribed medication will be administered in school in line with set procedures. Any additional training will be undertaken as necessary in conjunction with outside agencies e.g. School Nurse, Asthma Nurse, Epilepsy Nurse.
Our staff will always take time to meet the children’s pastoral or social needs. We have a counselling service in school, Place 2 Be, which can be accessed by pupils and their parents. We also liaise with external agencies, such as CAMHS, The ASD Team, Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy, in order to fully meet the needs of all of our children.
If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
